REFEREES
The following members have been awarded the status of Divisional Referees as from February 9th, 1965.
Wm. Norris, 10 Leader Avenue, Manor Park, E.10.
T. Norris, 8 St. Mary's Approach, E.12. Dr. T. Temperley, of Kuwait, Arabia. Dr. T. Temperley will have a Lancashire address when he returns to England-at that time we will publish it.
A correction to previous notes. R. McMeecham, of Guernsey, was promoted by my writing a little too soon. He is in fact a Divisional Referee-my apologies to him for any embarrassments it may have caused him-it was a slip of the typewriter.
JUNIOR AWARD SCHEME
Congratulations to Peter Lockton, of Camberwell, on winning his Gilt Medal by performing the 2nd series with dumbells of 861b.
Also congratulations to Juniors David Evans, Steven Evens, of Wandsworth, and David Hargood, of Camberwell, who have passed their 1st Series and have been awarded their Diplomas to commemorate it.
This Scheme has become so popular that Juniors between 14-17 can get their personal copy of the pamphlet from the Hon. Gen. Secretary, A. J. Mannix, B.E.M., for the price of 1/6. Even if you have not joined the S.A.W.L. you will find this a useful pamphlet to have.

Veteran awards are for men over 40 years of age who when attempting the lifts, get a percentage allowance according to their age. There are many of the 'older' lifters in the Society, men who inspire the youngster, men who teach, sometimes the lone trainer, they each and every one of them has had full benefit of the Veteran Scheme. It is always a pleasure to be able to publish their attempts and to send them their Medals and Diplomas.

PHOTOGRAPHS
I get many letters complaining that there are not enough photos of lifters.
First, this is unfair, as many of the physique lads are also lifters with the Society.
